Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
Job Description
We are seeking compassionate and dependable Personal Care Assistants to provide essential homecare services to clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and independence. PCAs play a vital role in supporting individuals with daily living tasks and fostering their overall well-being. A PCA that places the client satisfaction as a priority.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities to reduce isolation.
- Prepare and serve meals, adhering to dietary preferences and restrictions.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing living spaces.
- Offer transportation for medical appointments, errands, or social outings as needed.
- Monitor and remind clients about medication schedules.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including the use of assistive devices.
- Observe and report changes in clients’ physical or emotional conditions to supervisors.
- Uphold client confidentiality and always respect their privacy.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in caregiving or homecare services (preferred but not required).
- Certification as a PCA, CNA, or HHA (preferred but not required).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting and assisting with mobility.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping others.
